Welcome to part three of my mini blog series inspired by my recent Italian Travels; Interior Styling Trends.
Part 1 was all things colour, which you can read about here.
Part 2 is discovering all things pattern, especially my ever-growing love for tiles; wall and floor.
My third and final attribute to my mini series is all about interior styling trends, which is based on the variety places that we stayed, whilst we were away.
Interior Styling Trends
Whilst we were in Italy we decided to base ourselves mostly in Air BnB’s. Mainly because we were travelling around a lot for the whole of August, we decided we wanted to experience Italy like a local, and not always live in a hotel.
This was lovely, because we felt as if we were actually living in Italy at times; having our own home, shopping in the local supermarket, cooking gorgeous Italian inspired food. It was perfect.
Don’t get me wrong, it was wonderful staying in hotels as well, we did at times want that luxury (it was our honeymoon after all). However, having our own space and getting to snoop around other people’s homes was great. (And happens to be one of my secret loves).
Being in different Air BnB’s (and some of the hotels), I was able to really drawn inspiration on how the owners had set up their own interior style.
Especially how they display items around to make it feel like a homely space.
Obviously I was drawn to anything shelving related. Sadly wallpaper was not anywhere to be seen, apart from our hotel in Florence. However a few of them did have some AMAZING floor and wall tiles, which I got very excited about. As well as the colour combinations…can you start to see particular inspirational themes from my trip to Italy occurring. 😉
All of which I have recreated the looks of that can be easily replicated with some available products currently available on the high street.
Here are a few of my favourites that we got the chance to live with for a few days.
