Next Tuesday is the most romantic day of the year, Valentines Day.
Ladies and Gentlemen around will be feeling loved up, making romantic gestures, wining, dining and generally spoiling their other halves.
What could be more wonderful to spend the daywith the one you love. Showing them how much they mean to you.

This Valentines Day myself and the other half will be in Windsor for the day, after an overnight stay there.
Then back home for the evening, ready to snuggle on the sofa. With a lovely homemade dinner on the go as well.
Are you, like me staying in this Valentines Day?
Here are my recommended homemade Valentines Day Recipes, to get you in the mood for love…

Start the evening off with a delicious Prosecco Cocktail (or two), like the ‘The Love Potion Cocktail’.

Prosecco, fruit…more prosecco, what could be better?

Are you both a lover of cheese?

How about starting your evening meal with a shared baked Camembert, served with beautiful homemade bread.

Don’t worry if you’re other half isn’t a fan of cheese, (mine isn’t). You can still have the cheese. Whilst he/she can have the bread, which I’m sure you can share as well.

Picture the famous romantic scene in Disney’s ‘Lady and the Tramp’. Ever thought about reenacting this spaghetti scenario with your partner?

Well maybe not. Even so, tagliatelle and bolognese is the perfect romantic main for the two of you to share.

Plus, you can have a few alternatives. If you’re vegetarian, use quorn mince. It’s all about the flavours you put in the sauce to bring out the taste.

If you’re gluten intolerant, why not use Gluten Free Tagliatelle, or try Courgetti. Which I’m a huge fan of.

If you’re a chocolate lover like me, try a delicious chocolate and raspberry torte, topped with rose and raspberry ice cream for dessert.

These recipes can easily have alternatives. Firstly, you can make the pastry Gluten Free.

Plus if you don’t eat dairy, look at making the ice cream, and the filling for the torte Vegan.

And in case your romantic dinner doesn’t fill you up, how about snacking on these yummy treats.

Indulge in frozen yogurt covered strawberries, and raspberry and rose marshmallows. Whilst snuggling on the sofa, watching a film.

What a treat!
